The only place in the DMV area that has Azaleas next to a lake.
Lock Raven Reservoir
A reservoir that provides drinking water for Baltimore. Surrounded by many trees.
It is perfect for leaf peeping in Autumn.
Sugarloaf Mountain
A small mountain and park with a great view at the top.
The rock stair area is beautiful, especially in Autumn.
Liberty Reservoir
A quiet reservoir surrounded by trees.
It has gorgeous scenery, and very few people. The nature is all yours.
Glenstone Museum
A unique museum, displaying contemporary art in a gallery and sculpture garden.
A 37-foot tall sculpture, called the "Split-Rocker." It is adorned with live flowers, and has an internal irrigation system.
Black Hill Regional Park
A green space with a dog run, fishing pier, boat rental, hiking trail, playground, and picnic shelter.
The lake is perfect for boating. The boat rental is cheap and there are plenty of options.
Sandy Spring Adventure Park
A forest obstacle course with zip lines, rope rigs, and wooden bridges.
Various rope courses, each set for different skill levels.
